The Dating Game Finale – Viewer Voting

Hey It’s Jet Here.

Dear Readers,

Today we ask you to cast votes for the Bachelor you think best suits my sister, JJ. Mom even learned how to construct a poll for the occasion! Yup, techno-challenged Mom now can embed a poll, way to go Mom! Thanks Jetty. Watch out, I had fun, so… maybe I’ll design a poll about you next! Oh Mom, eyes rolling

Anyway, in case you’ve missed The Dating Game series, may I introduce the Bachelors: (Click on their name to read their post.)

Austin W. – Man of Mystery

Simba – Guy Next Door (well 3 doors down actually!)

Jack – Mr. Long Distance

We can’t wait to tally the votes. Oh, Polldaddy tallies (vocab builder) for us? Didn’t know that Mom.

Champ update:

Unfortunately, nothing positive to report; the local bulldog rescues never called back, another rescue is full, another rescue said they would show him on weekends at Petsmart if he arrived/left within the proper time span. Hmpf…

Dating Game Continued: Bachelor #2

Hey It’s Jet Here.

In our efforts to address JJ’s post surgery cougar behavior, we decided to conduct our version of the Dating Game.  (Catch up here.)

Today we introduce Bachelor #2:

Simba P. – The Guy Next Door (Well technically 3 houses down!)

Uh oh… thought we had more pics of Simba… will call his humans tomorrow, we’re writing this super late.

  • Knows the way to our house by heart, via the back patio AND garage door, when he escapes from his house.  He has also visited most of our neighbors, as well.
  • He feels comfortable hanging for an afternoon or an evening before his humans realize he’s missing and/or return home and/or answer their phones.
  • Has pawesome house manners.
  • Sweet as pie disposition… happy, happy, happy all the time – great with K9s, felines and humans.
  • Gets along great with me and JJ. (Passed the Brother Test!)
  • Passed the Spa Day Test.  (Yes, Mom washed all 3 of us together in the shower a few months back when Simba showed up fresh from the swamp canal!)
  • Could use to get some more long walks in… his humans exercise big time, however, do not often take Simba with them.
  • Could use Mom’s carrot diet. (again, not the guy’s fault, his humans feed him 2x more kibble than I receive and I weigh more!)
  • Needs a LOT of leash training (again, not the guy’s fault…)
  • About JJ’s age.

Champ update:

I made 3 calls this week:

  • Big Dog Ranch – Full, had one person on the premises to ask for ideas.
  • Left messages for 2 bulldog rescues, no response yet.

Another great, rate the date, day!

The Dating Game – Bachelor #1

Hey It’s Jet Here.

When Mom was young, she watched The Dating Game with her babysitters.  The premise:

A bachelor or bachelorette sat sequestered (vocab builder) behind a wall with three bachelorettes or bachelors sitting behind another wall.  The bachelor/bachelorette asked questions and the Host facilitated the answers.  At the end, the bachelor/bachelorette selected one of the contestants and they went on a swanky date, paid for by the show.  Many of the questions involved double entendres, jokes, funny voices and such.

Ever since JJ had her surgery last month, she’s become quite the cougar!  So, Mom and I decided to create our own dating game and see who you would select.  Today we start with Bachelor #1 – Austin W.

Austin W. – Man of Mystery

  • JJ has not met him, Mom has.
  • Slightly younger, probably 5 to JJ’s 6 ish.
  • Lives the life of a comfortable suburban K9.
  • Loves to catch Frisbees.
  • Loves playing in the backyard.
  • Does not enjoy social engagements with fellow K9s, loves attention from humans.
  • Only K9, shares family with outdoor feline.  Previously shared house with two other female K9s.
  •  Wears a Georgetown collar.
  • Likes treats, not that fond of his kibble.
  • Likes belly rubs.

Stay tuned for Bachelor #2, Simba.

Another great, match made in heaven, day.

P.S.  Speaking of Bachelors, when JJ visited Dr. Shaffer’s this week, Judy asked Mom if she had any good ideas for Champ.  Champ, an American bulldog mix, has camped out at the Paradise Animal Center B & B for over 5 months.  We don’t know the whole sad story yet, however, he’s one step from going to Animal Services and you know what that could mean.  Here’s his picture, let us know if you have any ideas… we will see if our area has a bulldog rescue.
