Our First Follow Up Friday…

Hey It’s Jet Here.

Our friend, Miss Jodi, created this great idea to update readers on previous posts.  She created a lovely badge to go with her idea.

Mom, Rachel, Puffy, JJ and I want to thank so many of our blog pals, friends and neighbors for their thoughtful words, texts and calls of love and support yesterday.   Rachel woke Mom up around 3:00 this morning, when she felt a wave of sadness.  JJ, ever the happy soul, encouraged lots of belly rubs while Mom and Rachel reminisced about Fluffy, Koko, Mugs, as well as Puffy, JJ and me.  Amongst the tears and tissues, giggles and laughter reached me as I listened cuddled up in the corner of Mom’s closet.

When speaking with Miss Linda of Savannah’s Paw Tracks and Miss Wendy, our Golden Rescue South Florida friend, Mom marveled at the level and speed of support and caring the pet blogging community provides… and few of us know or knew each other prior to blogging!

BSL opportunity for change fails in Miami.  Here’s a scathing (vocab builder) post about the results and one from our NBC station.

Oops, I did it again… we had another storm yesterday (of course) and Mom returned to a similar version of Mischief Monday.  She quietly fixed the apparatus and let it go because we all felt extra sad yesterday.

Mom spoke to Austin’s Mom on Wednesday and thanked her for her lovely note of appreciation.  Miss Judy said she may ask Mom to stop by and train her and Mr. Andy.  BOL!    Mom told Mr. Andy, (her employer), she misses Austin and might need a visit.  He smiled broadly and said anytime.   He told Mom Austin already misplaced his rope!

Another great, well, at least better than yesterday, day.

  1. It amazing how many how many friends you make in blogging. We have only been doing it since June..and I have met so many wonderful..penpals..We would love to meet them all. When one of your babies move to the play center in the sky..it gets everyone thinking..what if that was my pet and how they’d feel. So we all understand each other. I’m glad today was a better day…and tomorrows another new day 🙂
Have a great weekend..Don’t forget me meat loaf recipe…BOL
Big hugs to you all xx00xx

    • Hey Mollie, Hey Alfie, Jet here.

Oh, gosh, thanks for reminding us about the meat loaf… keep doing it until Mom sends it to you!

We’ve been blogging since Halloween and could not have imagined anything like what has happened. Play center in the sky, what a beautiful image… and yes, we all take a pause to think about our own fur families…

Indeed, each day we get increasingly accustomed to the new normal…

Thank you for the hugs and we return them with gratitude.

  2. Hi Jetty, I’m so sorry your first Follow-up Friday had some sadness involved, it is always hard losing someone we love.

That BSL stinks. But we will not call it a defeat, instead it will be a lesson to all that we need to work harder to over-come the ignorants of the world. 🙂

Thanks for participating in FUF. 🙂 Have a good weekend.

    • Hey Sampson, Hey Delilah, Jet here. Hi Miss Jodi.

Thanks for your kind words, Miss Jodi, we miss the Fluffster!

Good way to look at the BSL situation. 🙂

      Thanks for creating FUF! 🙂

  3. Oh sweet Austin, he probably doesn’t know how to take care of a toy…doesn’t sound like he gets lots! And nice follow up to the week BTW…way too bad about BSL vote! And Mom says “thanks” lots for the mention, this has been a rough personal day for her…she wasn’t feeling very appreciated by a friend…and this helped lots! paw pats, Savannah

    • Hey Savvy, Jetty here. Hi Miss Linda.

Not appreciated, hmpf… UNACCEPTABLE… Miss Linda, I, Jetty, Champion of Savannah, offer to extend my services to you. 🙂 I do not need a hankie, I accept belly rubs, virtual would be fine.

On the lighter side, we think Austin, in his exuberant energy, batted the rope under a piece of furniture!!!

      BOO for the BSL vote.

      Most deserving of the mention…

Savvy, will you share extra Jetty kisses and JJ hugs with your Mom for us? Paw pats right back!

  4. hey Jett and Family,

I am so sorry about the loss of your beautiful girl Fluffy. I just read about it and it breaks my heart. She sounds like she was a real fighter and what a beautiful Soul she must have had to show so much love and happiness despite her horrid background. I am so happy she was in your lives. The love you had for her is evident in your beautiful tribute to her. My deepest heartfelt sympathies to your loss. You are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

The pet blogging community is amazing. It is so touching all the love and support and help that arrives when one is in need.

The “Follow-up Friday” badge is very cool and it is a great idea. Hopefully next Friday will have more happy news.

    Suka and K

    • Hey Suka, Jet here. Hi Miss K.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful, kind and supportive words. Even though it sounds like a girl’s name, Fluff was actually a boy. (Rachel was 9 when she named the boys Puffy and Fluffy!!!)

He was a sweet soul and deserved all the good the world had to offer. We cannot agree with your wording more regarding the pet blogging community.

We know you need light and love, too, Suka, so, we send endless Jetty kisses and JJ hugs… 🙂

  5. Hi sweet Jetty – poor Rachel please give her a hug from me – I was thinking about you all today – it is such a difficult time –

sending extra goodnight hugs and wishes for a restful night to you, JJ, Mom, Rachel and Puffy xoxoxo

    • Hey It’s Jet here. Hi Miss Wendy.

She went to her Dad’s this afternoon, but, JJ and I sent her off with lots of K9 attention! (ok, mostly because of the storms!)

Thanks Miss Wendy, sending extra Jetty kisses and JJ hugs to you, Mr. David, Jacob, Cassie, Rex, and Barkley xoxoxox
