Mischief Monday: I Couldn’t Help It…

Hey It’s Jet Here.

On Saturday, Rachel and Mom left JJ, Pluffy and me to our own devices for a few hours.  While they gallivanted (vocab building project VBP) around town (Jetty, we ran mundane errands…), we stayed home.  Ok, we took long, comfy snoozes, but still…

Mom dropped Rachel off at a meeting and went to meet a friend while doing more errands.  During this part, the sky turned black and sent streaky lights, booms and pouring water down.  When Mom walked in with a bag of groceries, she found me like this:

  • She said I MUST ask you to see where my back paw is… yes, it’s stuck in the gate.  You see, I tried to squish my handsome self out of the laundry room through the feline door.  Yes, I know this is beneath me.  The call of the litter box during storms sounds like a symphony I tell you!
  • She said I MUST ask you to note that I disengaged the gate from the walls.  What can I say, I’m strong!
  • Mom said I MUST also ask you to notice that spot on my nose.  Yes, that’s what you think it is from the litter box.  How humiliating!
  • Mom said I MUST ask you to look at the 3 bowls I knocked over leaving general chaos on the floor.
  • She said I MUST accept the title of Mischief Maker this week.  (hanging my head, pitifully…)

Another, got stuck in the gate, sort of great day.

Monday Mischief – From an Unexpected Feline

Hey It’s Jet Here.

You’ll never guess who the mischief maker was this week?  Our BFF (best feline friend), Savvy, from Savannah’s Paw Prints.  How can she make mischief from across the country you ask?

Well, in a typically sweet and clever comment on July 6, Savvy’s last sentence read,

“And Jet, do you have French pedi’s on your toesies too??”

Mom had to admit to Miss Linda by phone, (they were speaking about a really cool project we have percolating (vocab builder), that she didn’t quite get the reference.  Miss Linda cleared it up by explaining that in my photos, I have little bits of white fluff on my paws which look like a French pedi!  Mom’s lightbulb went on! (Poor Mom, she’s a smidge slow I fear.) Below are my front paws and then back paws.  Mom disturbed my beauty rest, so forgive my mediocre (vocab builder) poses.

I asked Mom to inform Miss Linda to inform Savvy that MANLY MEN like moi DO NOT HAVE FRENCH PEDI’S!!!  Mom thought this was a hoot.  Guys, I have a reputation to uphold… come on, give the ol’ Jetster a break! (Oh and for good measure… Mom’s chemically sensitive and can’t have that polish stuff in the house.)

Oh no, this is doubly embarrassing… Mom went to fetch a picture of Savvy and we saw her elegant French pedis… now we get it even more… perhaps the mischief is on us!

Bad to worse… we were looking for another photo of Savvy and noticed a post we missed last week on Savvy’s courage getting her nails clipped.  She talked about a French pedi… YIKES… Can you say … MOM AND I TOTALLY MISSED THE BOAT – Mischief on us for sure!  BOL!  We claim too tired to concentrate…well… it sounded good…

Another great, whose mischief is it anyway, day!

Mischief Monday – Lord of the Peacocks

Hey It’s Jet Here.

Oh this guy earned the Monday Mischief title, yes he did. (Thanks to Miss Mary Ann and her I-Phone for all the pictures.)

Since Thursday, when Miss Mary Ann and Mom decided to take a new evening constitutional route which included part of our weekend morning route in reverse order, this guy required a lesson from the Jetster.

Here’s how the situation went down for three consecutive (vocab builder) nights.

At about ¾ through the route, Mom and Miss Mary Ann scout Mr. Peacock on the lawn at 2:00 (if you look at a dial watch.)  Dixie, JJ and I notice too and stand attentively, focusing on Mr. Fancy Feathers.

Mom readies her body for the upcoming lunges from JJ and me.  Mr. Peacock stands there indifferent to my demands (which I deliver with barking while lunging for emphasis.)  Instead of standing down or Mom allowing me to herd him to show my leadership, what does he do?  THIS!

Oh yeah, can you believe it?  He looks down on us like a President in a dictatorship (vocab builder)! Seriously? To make matters more infuriating (vocab builder) he proudly poses for photos.  Hmpf… supreme mischief maker I say!

Another great, except for Mr. Fancy Feathers, day.
