Follow Up Friday – Hannukatized Edition

Hey It’s Jet Here.

boty-1starBefore we start our weekly roundup, we’re so excited to share the news that we received an award on Wednesday.  We promised to post about it yesterday, however, we ran out of steam.  (Mom’s fever got the best of her.)  One of our newish blogpals, Miss Ann from My Pawsitively Pets, bestowed the Pawesome Blog of the Year Award on us.  (You MUST read the post with Niblet imitating a Christmas ornament!)

Yippee, yahoo, wowee, wow, wow, fever and all, Mom joined us for a round of the Happy Dance.  We immediately send the award back to Miss Ann and promise to post a proper thank you, following the full rules and such next Thursday.

Thank you for bearing with us as we continue to dig out (and make progress) from our comment box filled with kind words of support and comfort regarding Puffy’s crossing.

Ok, on with FUF!

Saturday – Did You Hear the One About…

mischief master classMy human sister, Rachel, could not believe how many of my pals wished her Happy Birthday.  On her behalf, we send out an 18 year old, like 3 in big K9 years, THANK YOU!

So many of you sent in news that you downloaded the book (great for holiday gifts!), looked forward to the soft cover edition (on its way), complimented my mischief skills, and complimented and thanked Mom for editing that Mom and I stayed permanently blushed the whole day!

Black & White Sunday – Life’s Simple Pleasures

Many of you wondered how Little Miss I Have A New Toy fit that ball in her mouth.  Mom says she has a case of TMJ brewing!  JJ continues to favor that green ball, falling asleep with it just like that several times as Mom rubbed her belly.  She’s a funny one.  We must thank our young, human neighbor Ruby, for sharing one of her toys with JJ.

Monday Mischief – Phew Last Minute Mischief

password mischiefGreat news!  Mr. Danny “the Wonderful” from Link2City, gave Mr. GoDaddy “the business” during two, 1.5 hour discussions on Monday and by Tuesday morning Mom’s Kitchen Counselor email worked like a charm.  Mr. Danny now manages Mom’s Kitchen Counselor website and Kitchen Counselor blog in addition to her Kitchen Counselor Newsletter eblast (which has been problem free since inception 3 years ago).  He’s almost finished repairing the mess that was the KC blog, so, Mom should be back posting there soon.  Thanks for sending in so many empathetic (VBP – vocab builder project) comments.  We appreciate and we’re sorry so many of you understand.

Tasty Tuesday – realdogs Eat Chicken Jerky Tenders

5Lots of you commented on how cool it was that realdogs uses real dogs on their packages.  The Urban Hounds particularly enjoyed the photo on our package!  Can you believe we’re now part of Nip and Bones’ Baby Patches Testing Team? Whoo hoo!

The humans wrote to Mom and agreed with the idea of cutting the jerky in small pieces to make it last longer, HMPH… whose side are you on??? Everyone appreciated the all natural, grain free, made in the USA, two ingredient jerky.  Hey Mom? When can we have more?  (When you get a good run in!)

Wordless Wednesday – On Hannukatizing and Meeting Haley

hannukatizing 2012Mr. Wil from Marking Your Territory, said “Hannukatizing is officially my new favorite holiday verb.”  Whoo hoo!  We received so many compliments on Mollie, Alfie and Miss Stella’s pawesome card.  Do pop over to Mollie’s blog and share your appreciation over there, too!

Haley’s story warmed your hearts as much as it did ours.  A few of the manly men inquired about a date with the lovely K9!

Thankful Thursday – Prezzies for me? The Ultimate Gotcha Day Stretch

17We need to clarify (VBP) that we are NOT blaming Barnie the Beagle! We feel the Customs humans did not take the time to read the CLEAR label stating Dog Treats and left my pawesome, ROYAL, gift box from Mollie’s Dog Treats, ordered by my BFF, Savannah, in a hot tropical corner somewhere for EIGHTEEN days before allowing the USPS to place said box at my door, along with an army of ants!

3We tenderly unwrapped each item to show you how thoughtful Savannah and Miss Linda were in sending me such a great Gotcha Day/1st Blogiversary gift and how special Mollie, Alfie, and Miss Stella’s efforts were in  baking and wrapping their artisan treats.

11Thanks for the advance compliments on how I will look in my Hannukah bandanna.  You may not have realized, Little Miss Always Accessorizing received one, too!  We’ll model for you next week!

Another great everything worked out week.

Follow Up Friday: Fur Friends Edition

Hey It’s Jet Here.

Our friend, Miss Jodi, initiated this great idea to update readers on previous posts.  She created a lovely badge to go with her idea.

We’ve featured lots of fur friends this week.  Last Saturday, Mom shared her thoughts and feelings about seeing Austin again.  She and Austin reconnected quickly and they resumed their summer K9 sitting routine of wags, walks, tug, fetch, grooming, and lovies.  Austin couldn’t wait to show Mom how much he still enjoys playing with his rope!

Black and White Sunday:

We thought featuring Austin playing outside with his favorite Frisbee fit the bill and you agreed!

Mischief Monday:

Casa Jet gave a loud whoo hoo to Mom and Austin for their achievement on Saturday.  Austin interacted positively with his lady neighbor, Sparkle.  Sparkle’s human Mom, Miss Janet, and Mom ended up chatting in the middle of the street for quite some time as ladies often do.  (Jetty! Yes Mom? I know Mom, that’s a stereotype… but gosh Mom, as far as I can tell, it’s quite accurate.) Austin and Sparkle chilled out on the street; you would never know Austin has difficulty socializing with other K9s.

Tasty Tuesday:

Thanks to so many of you for the enthusiastic feedback on Mom’s Cranberry Dip Selection to welcome fall.  I hope all of you make it really soon, so your K9s can enjoy the yogurt as much as I did!

Wordless Wednesday:

Mr. Puffy Boy (as Mom likes to call him at times) got the nod for his “strike a pose” instead of helping Mom try to fix her ongoing Microsoft Outlook problems.  In addition, you read how he moves Mom’s file pile in a way that imitates falling leaves.  No, Mr. Ron did not visit Casa Jet Wednesday or Thursday, which bummed Mom out.

Thursday:

A sad, unexpected post shared a goodbye tribute as one of Mom’s acquaintances bid farewell to her angora goat, Penny, who crossed over the Rainbow Bridge this week.

We’ll feature another unexpected fur friend tomorrow… can you guess who?  Hint:  He’s a K9 from the neighborhood.

Another great, except for Penny’s crossing, fur friend, week.

P.S. Please keep paws/fingers crossed for Mom’s Outlook issue.  Mr. GoDaddy helped Mom about 55-60% yesterday with her Kitchen Counselor blog.

Penny Crosses Over

Hey It’s Jet Here.

Mom has not had much time to review her regular FB of late.  (and no… Mr. Ron did not visit yesterday, nor has he called today.  😦 .  Mom did speak to Mr. GoDaddy this morning and fixed 55% of her Kitchen Counselor 2 month old blog problem.  The next 10% will require another call to Mr. GoDaddy.)

Whoops, I digress again.  So… just now before hitting our comments, Mom popped over and saw this beautiful soul.

Penny shared her last years with Mom’s acquaintance, Miss Anneke.  Mom used to visit Miss Anneke’s needlepoint/knitting store for over 15 years.  Miss Anneke LOVES animals; she and Mom would swap stories when Mom popped in to purchase supplies.  She always had rescued cats in the shop and placed dozens of cats, dogs and ducks.

Here’s what Miss Anneke wrote today:

Penny was one of our Angora Goats. She was really, really special….. She was around 4 or 5, and had been “rescued” from an auction, we got her about two years ago…. She was so gentle, and had the most loving eyes. Ever. Penny Sue. Angora Goats are very delicate animals, and a virus took her from us way too soon.

Miss Anneke, we send our condolences, Jetty kisses and JJ hugs on the loss of your sweet Penny.  We know she will graze pain free Over the Rainbow bridge.  Perhaps she can visit with our dear Koko and sweet Fluffy.

Another great (in general), sad for Miss Anneke, day.

Mischief Monday – Email H-E Double Toothpicks!

Hey it’s Jet here.

Oh boy, this isn’t good.  I needed to communicate privately with Lady Litchfield of LLCD on Friday and … that email thingie well… maybe it was the HORRIBLE week of storms, rain, roof leaking again… I’m not sure… it didn’t work.  So, Mom did other thingies and set her mind to take care of one email issue which many of you shared with her.  Her business email was FULL.  She called Mr. GoDaddy and they helped her with a few issues.  Good so far, right… well… good news/bad news.

Mr. GoDaddy helped her with an ancient problem; he helped her connect her business email to her Outlook thingie.  Sounds great.  He also taught her how to delete 1,000 emails at a time.  Since her mailbox maxed out at 29,000, she felt deeply appreciative.  Mom diligently deleted 16,000 right away and thought she would call it a night.  Follow my math here.  How many remained?  Yup, 13,000!

She popped over to see if that naughty Outlook recovered and … what happened?  Yeah, those of you (most of the world besides poor Mom) know where I’m going…  Outlook began importing 13,000 emails!  Now those of you who read our blog know that our equipment is on the wise and mature side, so, this threw Outlook out of whack.  Mom triggered finger, wrist, forearm and elbow inflammation as she deleted 8,000 emails … ONE AT A TIME!  Yes, I asked why, too.  Well, Mr. Fred has the installation program. Something went goofy awhile back and without that disc, no repair.  Where Mom could at least group by sender previously and delete a little faster, her opening screen now displays in a way that’s unhelpful and she can only do things one by one.  UGH… Poor woman decided to relax by combing JJ and me around midnight.

I made sure she woke up bright and early to yet another yucky day. (We received 6 inches of rain on Saturday alone.) So, on top of all the tech stuff, I’ve had my, uh… you know… storm issues, causing Mom to spend an extra 30 minutes at least twice a day with me.  Little Miss Happy Happy even refused to go out yesterday morning.

So, Mom decided to use her time wisely and go back and delete the remaining 5,000 emails.  Well, Mr. Microsoft decided otherwise.  He repeatedly sent this error message and then the Outlook program shut and reopened ad nauseum.  Clever Mom clicked away in between the 30 seconds to a minute she had each time and managed to get rid of about 4,000.  Sounds not so bad, right?  Nope, now the whole Outlook thingie isn’t working, period.  Yes, she opened, closed, restarted, rebooted, hard shut down, begged, made deals with higher powers… and did other things.  We’re kind of afraid to deal with it.

Mom has a super busy week with classes, fasting and holiday and a possible trip to see my Nana and Poppy, who are both under the weather.  I promised to give Outlook Jetty kisses, we’ll see if that helps.

Another great, except for naughty Outlook, day.
