Follow Up Friday – Dear Blogville Edition

Hey It’s Jet Here.

follow-up-fridayOur friend, Miss Jodi, Heart Like a Dog, initiated this great idea to update readers on previous posts.  She created a lovely badge to go with her idea and has successfully turned her wonderful idea into a robust blog hop!

Saturday – Dear Blogville

dog chasing catWe appreciated the amount of time and care so many blogpals took to think about the difficult situation we faced last week.  Ruby let go of JJ, who saw and then zoomed after a feral cat while the homeowner had a very strong reaction.  Most of you had perspectives that resonated with Mom’s.  We have passed that way four times this week without incident.  No Mr. Homeowner sighting, though.

Sunday – Neve Makes Tracks

neve in packed car bwOur pack mate, Neve (we forgot to clarify she is a female!), stayed comfy cozy as Mr. Giovanni and Miss Beverly crossed either 8 states in 12 days or 12 states in 8 days, we forget!  Miss Beverly generously sent in this photo, which we thought had a cool composition.  Whoops, we still owe a bunch of comments from this day (Mom travels and spends very little time home on Sundays lately.)

Monday – Just Thinking About Mischief Potential

rachels rm door openA sliver of open door to a teenage room can really get your nose twitching!  Many of you wanted to know if Little Miss Curiosity and I went into Rachel’s room.  I, Gentleman Jetty, refrained from invading my human sister’s privacy.  Little Miss Can’t Resist did a fast investigation locating and delivering a wrapper of some sort to Mom.  Mom realized the source of the wrapper and quickly put a kibosh on further snooping.

Tuesday – Mom and JJ Finished the Book

SONY DSCGuess what? A few humans said they also read The Sharper the Knife, The Less You Cry.  Mom selected one of the recipes from author, Kathleen Flinn’s website.  She chose the Salad Nicoise because Little Miss Bon Appetit and I like almost every ingredient you see in the picture.  Lots of readers enjoyed the recipe, too!  Yippee!  Coincidentally, Mom’s Kitchen Counselor Newsletter eblasted Tuesday to some of our blogpals; Mom had a special thank you to them in this edition!

Wednesday – OCEARCH – Making Shark Tracks

amy sharkI would say the opinions were unanimous – great photos, great project, glad we live on land and do not encounter these 3,500 lb. creatures!  Several of you acknowledged and agreed the program creates a win/win for humans and sharks, whose populations have greatly declined.

Thursday – Mom Requests a Post of Her Own

blogpaws_conf_300x250Boy of boy, thank you for your kind words of understanding, empathy (VBP) and support for Mom.  I love you guys for that!  She worked on about 40 comments yesterday and hopefully will have some dig out time tomorrow, after her BlogTalk Radio show segment, too!  She promised to represent the Tropics as well as help me report when she attends BlogPaws.  What a leap of financial faith I tell ya!  She’s doing some of that nervous finger tapping stuff; however, I know she will figure it out.  (Coincidentally, she procured (VBP) a small, new, exciting part time job yesterday!)

Another great hats off to Blogville, week.

Thanks for Sending Love Our Way

Hey It’s Jet Here.

We promise to answer all your thoughtful comments of love and support regarding Puffy’s crossing *OTRB*.  Today, we will show you how we feel:

You graciously sent lots of love from all over the world…

We felt you thinking of us…

We felt warm and fuzzy…

Thank you.

Another great -ful to be a part of blogville day.

Wordless Wednesday – Gratitude Tomorrow

Hey It’s Jet Here.

Tomorrow we’ll be grateful, today we feel a little snarky.  Could be because Mom’s had 6 hours of sleep in 2 days… (yesterday might have been my fault, today was HERS!)

We thought we’d show you pics of K9s as turkeys and pilgrims, but let’s get serious…

‘Nuf said!

Another great turkey on my mind day.

Wordless Wednesday: Puffy at Work

Hey It’s Jet Here.

Yesterday, while Mom worked with Mr. Ron on Outlook issue again, (the last option didn’t work, bumming Mom out… then Mr. Ron held out one last sliver of hope… cross paws and fingers for today or tomorrow, when he will stop by), Puffy decided to contribute to the helping efforts.

Translation: He chilled on Mom’s Kitchen Counselor articles to input later pile, causing each page to fall off the desk like falling leaves, floating side to side on the way down, bothering Mom! With help like this…

Another great, caught Puffy in the act, day.

Wordless Wednesday – Koko, Jet & Nancy

Hey It’s Jet Here.

In March 2010, Mom’s talented photographer friend, Miss Carmen, invited us to play with Nancy in their backyard.  We love visiting backyards which have fences so we can go off leash.

First, we sniffed around…

Then we started to play Chase and Wrestle…

Mom said we looked like great white sharks!  BOL… we’re just goofing around, we don’t snap our jaws shut!

Showing Nancy my “vulnerable” side!  (ok, Mom loves to show my white poof on my belly!)

Koko in repose. (vocab builder project – VBP)

Chasing two ladies can tire a guy!

Another great Koko playdate.

Wordless Wednesday: Take That BSL!

Hey It’s Jet Here.

Mom does this clicking thingie each morning to give 10 pieces of free Kibble to felines and K9s.  Yesterday, one of the answers linked to a story about a Pit Bull adopting a white lion cub rejected by her Mom after Jojo, the cub, had surgery.

For those who fear the vicious, white shark-like reputation of the Pitties… check these photos out.

Another great, Pit Bull education and caring day!

Wordless Wednesday – Sea Horse

Hey It’s Jet Here.

Remember the elephant swimming? Well, Mom has a penchant (vocab building project VBP) for the ocean as well as animals, so, this photograph by Kurt Arrigo posted on PhotoBotos caught her attention.

Mom wondered whether some trickery might be involved until she read how Mr. Arrigo captured the shot.

“This particular assignment was of racing horses getting their training in the sea. Swimming is one of the best exercises for the races horses. Apparently 20 min of swimming is a very good work out for them. Since I have also been shooting underwater for the past 15 yrs, I thought it would be an interesting perspective shooting from below, working win the clear clean waters off the Maltese Islands  – I also took advantage of the good light.

It took a while for the horse to get used to my bubbles from my dive gear and I had to be very careful not to get knocked by one of its hoofs … I was very happy with the results and hope to do more in the near future.”

Another great and artistically inspired day.
