Follow Up Friday: Jetters Edition

Hey It’s Jet Here.

Before we recap, we MUST share with you how much all your comments, thoughts of support, words of care and lovies meant to Miss Wendy on the loss of her sweet Barkley this week.  (noted in Tuesday’s post.)  In case you didn’t see her response, which we posted late that evening, scroll down to the end of the comments.  We knew our blogpals would rally to her side; thank you for taking Miss Wendy and her family under your paws.

Our friend, Miss Jodi, Heart Like a Dog, initiated this great idea to update readers on previous posts.  She created a lovely badge to go with her idea and recently turned her wonderful idea into a new blog hop!  Congrats!

Saturday: Honoring Adopt-a-Shelter Month

We began our week by highlighting two super adoption events in our area.  We thought both events creatively selected themes with corresponding posters.  The first, which begins at midnight tonight is a Super Adoption beginning with kittens and puppies.  The second paired hunky firefighters with rescue K9s strutting the runway.  We appreciated your support, understanding and dismay that I, Gentleman Jetty, was not asked to appear on either poster.

Sunday: Black & White Little Cat

When Mom unexpectedly helped Mr. Andy out on Saturday afternoon with Austin, she finally caught Little Cat in daylight licking his/her chops.  Mom’s befriended LC and now, when she visits, LC will brush up against her and permit petting.  You asked us to find out LC’s real name… Mr. Andy said, “kitty”, however, when he says it, with affection, it sounds like “koodie!”  (Another mystery solved!)

Mischief Monday:  A Fox?

Turns out that many of you have foxes in your area, too!  We subsequently learned, that, while cute, foxes can cause quite a bit of mischief and beyond.  Our friend, Miss Heather found out from Health Services that the urine can be toxic to children! (I know, you’re wondering why a human child would be in that situation… however, if the foxes are in your backyard… you do the math…)  Humans also have foxes as pets, who knew?  As you suggested, we will continue to admire from afar.  Oh, we have a few entries on possible names for our new fox: Foxy and Felicia… keep those ideas coming!

Tasty Tuesday: We Honestly Love Radishes!

We featured one of my personal fave veggies this week – radishes.  Many of you commented that:

  1. You didn’t know K9s could eat radishes.
  2. Many humans did not know how many varieties of the yummy radish exist.
  3. Many of the humans either enthusiastically enjoyed radishes or kind of wrinkled their noses.
  4. 3. A few K9s admitted to hiding said veggie under various furniture species with other offered veggies!

Wordless Wednesday: JETTERS

Boy oh Boy did we spook and scare you (and ourselves!) with Mollie’s wickedly talented Frankenweenie picture of yours truly!  For many of you who worried that I would remain in that scary form, Gentleman Jetty is back, gorgeous fluffy black fur and all!

Thankful Thursday: Triple Thanks

We appreciated your compliments on our award and our apology to Princess Zena.

Another great wrap up to the week!

Follow Up Friday: Fur Friends Edition

Hey It’s Jet Here.

Our friend, Miss Jodi, initiated this great idea to update readers on previous posts.  She created a lovely badge to go with her idea.

We’ve featured lots of fur friends this week.  Last Saturday, Mom shared her thoughts and feelings about seeing Austin again.  She and Austin reconnected quickly and they resumed their summer K9 sitting routine of wags, walks, tug, fetch, grooming, and lovies.  Austin couldn’t wait to show Mom how much he still enjoys playing with his rope!

Black and White Sunday:

We thought featuring Austin playing outside with his favorite Frisbee fit the bill and you agreed!

Mischief Monday:

Casa Jet gave a loud whoo hoo to Mom and Austin for their achievement on Saturday.  Austin interacted positively with his lady neighbor, Sparkle.  Sparkle’s human Mom, Miss Janet, and Mom ended up chatting in the middle of the street for quite some time as ladies often do.  (Jetty! Yes Mom? I know Mom, that’s a stereotype… but gosh Mom, as far as I can tell, it’s quite accurate.) Austin and Sparkle chilled out on the street; you would never know Austin has difficulty socializing with other K9s.

Tasty Tuesday:

Thanks to so many of you for the enthusiastic feedback on Mom’s Cranberry Dip Selection to welcome fall.  I hope all of you make it really soon, so your K9s can enjoy the yogurt as much as I did!

Wordless Wednesday:

Mr. Puffy Boy (as Mom likes to call him at times) got the nod for his “strike a pose” instead of helping Mom try to fix her ongoing Microsoft Outlook problems.  In addition, you read how he moves Mom’s file pile in a way that imitates falling leaves.  No, Mr. Ron did not visit Casa Jet Wednesday or Thursday, which bummed Mom out.

Thursday:

A sad, unexpected post shared a goodbye tribute as one of Mom’s acquaintances bid farewell to her angora goat, Penny, who crossed over the Rainbow Bridge this week.

We’ll feature another unexpected fur friend tomorrow… can you guess who?  Hint:  He’s a K9 from the neighborhood.

Another great, except for Penny’s crossing, fur friend, week.

P.S. Please keep paws/fingers crossed for Mom’s Outlook issue.  Mr. GoDaddy helped Mom about 55-60% yesterday with her Kitchen Counselor blog.

Follow Up Friday – Cucumber Edition

Hey It’s Jet Here.

Our friend, Miss Jodi, initiated this great idea to update readers on previous posts.  She created a lovely badge to go with her idea.

Saturday: The Doctor was IN

Last Saturday, we concluded our remembrances of our sweet golden girl, Koko, by sharing a few of her Pet Therapy experiences at Miami Children’s Hospital.  So many of you warmly acknowledged Koko’s healing efforts, which meant a great deal to us.

Sunday: Black and White Vibes for Champ

Our anipals and their bipeds rock! We featured our K9 buddy, Champ, still waiting for his forever home.  Wowee, wow wow did you send good wishes, crossed fingers and paws and good vibes his way.  We’ll keep you posted as we learn more… and … thank you.

Monday: Outlook Understanding

While Mom remains in Outlook H-E Double Toothpicks, lots of bipeds acknowledged that Mom did not suffer alone.  I personally appreciate the solid advice you provide tech-challenged Mom.  She has an S-O-S out to her IT biped and awaits his reply.  (I’m hoping for faster rather than slower reply as Mom needs to access her folders to write her Kitchen Counselor Newsletter this weekend.

Tuesday: Danish Cukes

Miss Ellen and her family gave a hearty paws, I mean thumbs up for Mom’s cucumber dish, as did many of you.  Mom’s personal feedback; a bit too acidic for her tummy, she might try less vinegar or lemon juice for herself next time.  Lots of my fellow K9s gave high paws for cucumbers and a few of my pals did not know K9s could eat cucumbers.

No Technology Wednesday:

Due to the Jewish Holiday, Mom (who COULD have scheduled an auto post) missed our usual Wordless Wednesday.

Wordless Thursday?

Mom bent the rules and made up for WW on Thursday, featuring Gatsby, the newest addition to the anipal family at Mom’s office.  You guys (Mom’s NJ term of endearment), reacted like we did with a lot of awws, cute, adorable etc…  (Mom’s behind responding, she had her 2nd class of the week yesterday; Korean cooking on Monday night and Fall Vegetarian yesterday afternoon!)

Another great FUF – Cucumber edition, day!

Our First Black and White Sunday

Hey It’s Jet Here.

For those of you who read some of our comments, you will know that Miss Wendy, our friend from Golden Rescue South Florida, writes the kindest, most frequent notes to Casa Jet.  One of her K9s, Barkley, a fellow rescued manly man, is about 14 years old now.

Miss Wendy mentioned recently that Barkley has slowed down a lot and seems a bit uncomfortable with arthritis.  She takes fantabulous care of him.  We wanted to share some Jetty kisses and JJ hugs with our virtual pal.  We’re thinking about you Barkley.  xoxoxoxo

Another great, love ya man, day.

Thanks to My Life in Blog Years and Dachshund Nola for hosting the Black and White Sunday blog hop.
