Follow Up Friday – Cone of Courage Edition

Hey It’s Jet Here.

follow-up-fridayOur friend, Miss Jodi, Heart Like a Dog, initiated this great idea to update readers on previous posts.  She created a lovely badge to go with her idea and has successfully turned her wonderful idea into a robust blog hop!

Before I begin, may I write a BIG THANK YOU for checking on Mom and I to see how we’re feeling.  I’m kerplopping less out on our walks; however, I’m still rather uncomfortable.  Mom says I tolerate the first aid spray and the goopy medicine very well.  The Cone of Courage remains on 24/7 to defray (VBP) my desire to bite/scratch the area.  Mom seems to have improved about 20%; she continues to feel like her head is under water!  She kept her promise and rested a good bit last week.

Saturday – Merry Newfmas and Happy Houndlidays

ernieWe enjoyed participating in The Pet Blogger Gift Exchange hosted by the fetching Honey and Miss Pamela.  Many of you already knew our giftee, Newf and Hound, while several of you looked forward to meeting them.  Guess what?  Turns out my buddy, Snoopy, lives really close to Hazel, Ernie, Nooner and Foyle and wants to meet them!  Super cool!

Sunday – Cone of Courage

cone of courage 1We appreciated your feedback which ranged from acknowledging our efforts to “turn our frown, upside down” to making lemonade from lemons, etc… Mom asked me to share she’s glad you found the photo moving.  So many of you have my back on this one, I feel the love!

Monday – Scientific Mischief

human tangled in dog leashYeah, you could relate to Little Miss Bird Dog and my urges to uh… stray from the strict scientific endeavor of participating in this year’s annual Bird Count.  Glad you got a kick out of our Boa Leash maneuver!  Of course you understood our efforts to keep that arrogant Winchester in line!  My BFF, Savannah, requested a quill from that peacock, which, we will happily try to find when he next molts!

Tuesday – Tasty Tuesday Christmas Style

christmasWe wished our blogpal community celebrating Christmas the appropriate greetings and asked how to properly do so in a few cultures.  We learned that in a few countries, it’s proper to say Happy Christmas, as Merry Christmas might imply (VBP) debauchery!  We even learned how to send good wishes in Dutch from Suki, Hiro and Miss DiandaVrolijk Kerstfeest!

Wednesday – Now I’m a Leaping Lord

Wowee, wow wow!  Can you believe Miss Ann bestowed such a Royal title on ‘ol Jetty boy?  Thanks for the positive feedback on my new skills.  I think that I may be ready to learn the game of kings… POLO!  Several pals worried about my ego… I want to quash (VBP) the notion that I will change as a result of my recent Royal titles… I remain your humble Jetty.  If I begin to show any difference, Mom PROMISES to keep me in line!

Thursday – The Little Thingies

shameless conesSo glad you feel the same way about gratitude for the “basics” (which are really a big deal, especially for those of us who had “before” times we do not want to think about.)  We all agree to take time each day to remind ourselves of how fortunate we are.  I’ll remind you, if you remind me!

As for my digression regarding the recent appointment of a new Secretary of State, our friends at the DogDaz Zoo wrote, “And you are so right about a Golden for Sec of State.”  I really feel Bo’s Dad made a mistake – there, I said it again!

Another great Follow Up Friday holiday edition.

Tasty Tuesday – Christmas Style

Hey It’s Jet Here.

Thanks to Sugar and Kol for initiating Tasty Tuesdays, today is our thirty-eighth participating post!

tasty tuesdays

To all our friends in Blogville who celebrate Christmas, Casa Jetty extends a Merry (U.S.) Happy (Australia, New Zealand and U.K.), Happy Happy (Little Miss couldn’t resist the double Happy!) Feliz Navidad (Spanish speaking countries) Christmas filled with family, joy, health, love, laughter, prezzies, belly rubs, ear scritches, walks, and of course, since it’s Tuesday… tasty tidbits!

Another great Christmas Day!

Merry Newfmas and Happy Houndlidays!

Hey It’s Jet Here.

Pet-Blogger-Gift-Exchange1When we read about Honey’s Pet Blogger’s Gift Exchange, we just knew we had to participate.  We emailed the fetching Honey and Miss Pamela and then… we found out our secret match, our pals at Newf and Hound!

Here are the rules:

  1. Share encouragement and compliments – Easy Peasy!
  2. Link up here – No problem!
  3. Share on any and all social media – Hmpf… as you know, Mom limits me to blog only!

When we first met long haired dachshunds, Ernie, Hazel and Nooner, we got a kick out of the fact that they shared their forever home with Foyle the Newfoundland!  You can read how that all came about here.  You know how Mom feels about fluffy fur, so, we were hooked right away.  Furthermore, they live in Mom’s favorite area of the U.S., San Francisco.

ernie

We love the diversity of subject matter, ranging from:

  • Their hiking adventures – you have to see the three petite Doxies keeping up with Foyle!
  • dachshund dressBucket Babe – Fashion.  Little Miss Fashion Plate ogled (VBP – Vocab Builder Project) the dachshund dress and thought a fall, auburn colored golden retriever pattern would look lovely, too!
  • DJ Track and Hound – they share playlists for different activities.
  • Foyle Fridays.
  • Nooner News.
  • 2012-12-17 Photo Transfer_5Crafts – This week’s project showed how to put the crew on wooden coasters with Mod Podge!
  • Training and Techniques – Check out the post where Foyle chases a coconut!
  • Treats and Food – we both posted reviews of chicken jerky on the same day! Great minds…
  • Letterpress posts show you how to make or where to purchase a variety of pressed prints or die cut items.
  • 6a0105358f3c48970b0134862ca249970c-500wiLandscape Design posts might discuss sustainable outdoor doghouses, planting a front yard garden or a water trough garden.  This topic appeals to our Kitchen K9 side as does the Treats and Food category!
  • One of our favorite categories carries the name – Make This Buy That.  No judgement, simply two options with links to resources.  We especially enjoyed the Raised Dog Feeder  and the Raised Dog Bed.  Mom would like to know if a handy manly-man arrives with the instructions!

We have to find out whether the NewfandHound’s human is affiliated with Etsy or simply enjoys viewing Etsy sites, because we read lots of Etsy references!  NewfandHound has a modern, clean format which we appreciate.  The tone of the writing stays modern too. (Their tag line is “We are 4 modern dogs living in a modern world! Join us on our adventures!” after all!) We would add the adjectives informative, creative, interesting, playful, and positive with gorgeous photos to boot!

Visit NewfandHound to see what Ernie, Hazel, Nooner and Foyle are up to.  Wish them a Merry Newfmas and Happy Houndlidays and let them know that Jetty sent ya!

Another great NewfandHound day!

Follow Up Friday – Gotcha Day Stretch Edition

Hey It’s Jet Here.

sad dogBefore I begin, if you read some of my comments from yesterday, you know I had an unexpected visit with Dr. Schaffer.  Little Miss Annual Exam had a scheduled meeting; however, after a late night version of “Ants in the Pants,” Mom put me in the car, too.  The “AITP” game looks like me zipping across the couch, in and out of my day bed, plopping on the tile, doing the tushy slide on the cool tiles, never finding a comfy position over and over.  When Mom saw me go for the underside of my fluffy tail, she cringed and knew “it” was back.

I’ll give you the quick and yucky version:

  • Pyoderma – can spread really fast, mine was about three inches and superficial.  Dr. Schaffer said Mom did a good thing bringing me in crying dogfast.
  • Got a shave which made me squeal so loud, Mom’s heart broke. (I accidentally scratched Mr. Vet Tech really bad… I apologized.)
  • Got a shot, got a spray which burned, got ointment; Cone of Shame went from car to office to my neck.
  • Whimpered for 45 minutes while Little Miss Annual Exam got her stuff done; Mom sat on floor trying to console me.
  • Sent home with two ice packs for under my tail… no can do!
  • Passed out on my our couch and in my daybed for the remainder of day.
  • Dr. Schaffer said the hardest part is the first 18 hours, so, should start improving today with medicine.

follow-up-fridayOur friend, Miss Jodi, Heart Like a Dog, initiated this great idea to update readers on previous posts.  She created a lovely badge to go with her idea and has successfully turned her wonderful idea into a robust blog hop!

Saturday – Little Miss Gotcha Day

You joined us in celebrating JJ’s first year with us, learning how she came to join our family.

Sunday – Grammy Unexpectedly Hops By

Everyone loved our unexpected visiting Bunny rabbit.  His coloring and method of movement fit right in with the Black and White Blog Hop.

Monday – Chopped Liver Mischief

Thanks for understanding why JJ and I felt left out of the fun when Ruby brought Grammy over to visit Mom and Rachel.  We got a little sniff at the end and Little Miss Curiosity even had a brief close encounter with the little hopper.  Yes, I know he’s adorable… I would have been a perfect gentleman.

Tuesday – JJ’s Favorite Fruit

In honor of her “Gotcha Day Stretch Celebration”, we featured apples two ways: in Wassail a pre-colonial holiday beverage and in an Artisan Bread Stuffing perfect for the holidays as well.  Lots of pals and their humans never heard of Wassail before and thought they might like to try it.  Send us some photos if you do!

1

Of course, we prefer our apples straight up as Mom’s Kitchen K9s.  Many of you like the same apple varieties as Casa Jet!

Wednesday – Little Miss…

JJ enjoyed thanking you for the many compliments and loving nicknames you sent in regarding her photos.  She told me I have great friends, to which I heartily agreed!  Here’s JJ with Miss Wendy again!

Thursday – The Next Big Thing

the-next-big-thingKirby warmed the cockles of our hearts (hey Mom, what kind of term is that?  Jetty, it’s an old expression) with his description of our blog when he bestowed The Next Big Thing Award on us.  We passed on the award to five bloggers who more recently joined the blogosphere and have made a strong impact on us.

Thank you all for checking up on Mom.  She still stuffy, figured out the problem involves her sinuses and should get to an MD sooner than later.

Another great Gotcha Day Stretch week, day.

Tasty Tuesday: JJ’s Favorite Fruit

Hey It’s Jet Here.

Thanks to Sugar and Kol for initiating Tasty Tuesdays, today is our thirty-seventh participating post!

tasty tuesdays

DSC03188So far, Mom and I have noticed that JJ’s favorite fruit tidbits include all varieties of apples.  Mom favors Fujis, Pink Ladies and Honey Crisps therefore we do as well.  Mom told us that when she lived in New Jersey, she picked apples off trees!

A few years back, she visited her friend, Flavia, in Pennsylvania and they picked apples, too.  Mom figured out a way to carry about two dozen apples (4 varieties) home for Koko and I to sample.  In honor of Little Miss Gotcha Day’s special week, we give you apples two ways!

wassailWith Christmas and New Year virtually upon us, Mom thought you might enjoy a classic beverage: wassail.  Mom said I could google… From WiseGeek: Wassail is a traditional drink served during the winter holidays, including Christmas, New Year’s Eve, and Twelfth Night. It is especially popular in northern European countries, where it originates. It consists of a hot, spiced drink, often alcoholic, that most commonly resembles cider in the modern day. Originally, wassail is believed to have been closer to beer.

Zesty Wassail  (this link has 2 other cider recipes!)

  • 2 quarts organic apple cider
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons whole cloves
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 teaspoons ground nutmeg
  • 2 oranges, sliced
  • 2 lemons, sliced

Mix all ingredients and bring just to a boil, simmer for 10 minutes, or leave on the lowest heat (or in a slow cooker) to keep warm. Serve with orange or lemon slices, or a cinnamon stick.

Mom told us some families serve turkey for Christmas.  She thought you might enjoy this wintery stuffing recipe: (As Mom’s faithful Kitchen K9s, we would love the sausage, celery, apples, and bread tidbits! Just sayin’…)

Artisan Bread Stuffing with Apples and Sausage

  • Artisan Bread Stuffing with Apples and Sausage1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
  • 2 cups chopped celery
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 pound bulk pork sausage
  • 2 medium tart red apples, cored and chopped
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 teaspoon parsley flakes
  • 1 teaspoon crushed rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 6 cups cubed day-old artisan bread (1 1/2 to 2 inch cubes)
  • 1 1/2 cups chicken stock
  • 1 cup apple cider

1. Preheat oven to 325°F. Melt butter in large skillet on medium heat. Add celery and onion; cook and stir 5 minutes or until softened. Add sausage; cook and stir until browned. Stir in apples, cranberries, parsley, rosemary and thyme.

2. Place bread cubes in large bowl. Add vegetable mixture, stock and apple cider; toss gently until well mixed. Spoon into lightly greased 13×9-inch baking dish. Cover with foil.

3. Bake 15 minutes. Remove foil; bake additional 20 minutes or until heated through and top is lightly browned.

Another great apple day.

P.S.  Mom’s writing Servings, her Kitchen Counselor newsletter today (yesterday, too… forgive us for getting super duper behind again…)

Follow Up Friday: Festival of Lights Edition

Hey It’s Jet Here.

We’re participating in the Channukah Crawl this year, whoo hoo! Today, Catself along with PerPetually Speaking are up.  Tomorrow, share the last Hannukah (I know, I spell it differently!) post with Cat Wisdom 101.

follow-up-fridayOur friend, Miss Jodi, Heart Like a Dog, initiated this great idea to update readers on previous posts.  She created a lovely badge to go with her idea and has successfully turned her wonderful idea into a robust blog hop!

We ordered our Dogs of Blogville Calendar this week.  Miss Jodi, Sampson and Delilah worked their fingers/paws to the bone creating this fabulous project.  The proceeds will divide evenly between two of our fellow bloggers who suffered severe damage in Hurricane/Superstorm Sandy.

Saturday: A+ Customer Service

3Thanks to all of you who admired the color of JJ’s new leash/harness.  You appreciated the less than frequent experience of great customer service.  Update: Mom does not feel secure with the handle of the EZYdog Cujo leash and wrote to Mr. Brady again.  She told him she read the return instructions AFTER throwing the tags away.  He said we could send that segment of the leash back and exchange it for the Mutley, which has a handle Mom feels confident with.  Double A+ EZYdog!

Black & White Sunday: Hannukah with Friends

hannukah 2012 2 bwWe enjoyed receiving so many comments appreciating the Channukah Crawl, since many blogpals were curious about our holiday’s history and customs.   You expressed how fun it was to have Miss Mary Ann and Dixie celebrate with us.  They generously gave us two gifts: super yummy (dried sweet potato) treats and super fun toys.  Mom’s still holding out because she knows Little Miss Chewminator will extinguish their sweet lives in less than 3 minutes!

Mischief Monday: Borrowed Mischief

sonomaOh did we receive fun captions and comments about Sonoma’s antics in the dishwasher!  Mom shared with Miss Jennifer, since she thoughtfully shared Sonoma’s mischief anticipating (I’m sure of it!) that Little Miss Festival of Lights and I would be on our best behavior!  OH! OH!  The paperback of Snoopy’s Master Mischief Class arrived… our copy crossed the Casa Jet threshold on Wednesday night!  Yippee, Yahoo… a MUST READ (BIAS ADMITTED!)  Great for the holidays, remember half of the proceeds helps Therapy Dog Programs!

Tasty Tuesday: Latkes for K9s or Lassie Latkes

7For those unfamiliar with latkes, you enjoyed learning about the history and modern interpretations.  Many of you shared your family’s preferences regarding toppings: applesauce (Casa Jetty) and/or sour cream!  Little Miss Latke and I did the major happy dance when Mom prepared such beautiful samples for us.  She barely had time to snap pictures!  Mom posted step-by-step photos on her Kitchen Counselor FB page for your review!

Wordless Wednesday: Bandannas and Babushkas

5Thank you for admiring the pawesome Hannukah bandannas made by Mollie, Alfie and Miss Stella and gifted to us by Savannah and Miss Linda.  You complimented our modeling style and got a kick out of our Mom’s goofing around changing the bandannas to babushkas!  Yes, I rocked a babushka… I’m just manly man enough to do it!

Wednesday and a Half: Knotted (An Adaptation of Rapunzel Starring Princess Zena)

When preparing our Thursday post, we popped over to our pal PZ (Princess Zena) and coincidentally found one of our favorite styles of her posts – her story posts… as we read on… it featured… ME as the Handsome Prince!  Wowee wow wow… we just HAD to reblog it… if you didn’t have a chance to read it… besides having a starring role, yippee yahoo… PZ and her Producer created an amazing rendition of the timeless tale.  Thank you ever so much, PZ… you gave us a wonderfully unexpected gift.

Thankful Thursday: Awards and Appreciation

boty-1starWe felt deeply fortunate to receive the Blog of the Year Award from Miss Ann of My Pawsitvely Pets.  Thanks for understanding we could only share the award with a few of the endlessly deserving blogs.  We explained what made us choose each blog we bestowed the award on.

hannukahGlad you thought the toys Mom gave to Austin for Hannukah rocked as much as Austin did.  Mr. Andy reports that Austin continues to tote the two new toys all over the house!  When Miss Judy mentioned that Austin likes all the toys Mom picks out, Mom replied that’s because they’re JJ tested and approved!

Another great Festival of Lights week.

Thankful Thursday: Awards and Appreciation

Hey It’s Jet Here.

We’re participating in the Channukah Crawl this year, whoo hoo! Today, our fellow Florida pal, Gizmo along with Chazz are up.  Tomorrow, share more cool Hannukah (I know, I spell it differently!) info with Catself and PerPetually Speaking.

As promised, we wanted to officially thank Miss Ann from My Pawsitively Pets for bestowing the super special Blog of the Year Award. Here are the official rules:

savvy-and-jet-sidebar-revSavannah’s Paw Tracks – Besides being our BFF (best feline friend) and serving as Savannah’s Champion, Savvy and Miss Linda craft fun, meaningful and intelligent posts.  Their monthly series, Real Rescue Cats/Dogs are Talking supurrlatively capture adult rescue stories and touch a full range of emotions.

Mollie’s Dog Treats – Mollie, Alfie, and Miss Stella write posts that make us laugh.  Can you top their pawesome efforts to Frankenweenieize and Christmasize any creature who makes a request,  and grant our special request to Hannukahtize JJ and I? Plus they send out pawesome, artisan treats and bandannas!

The Princess Tails – Princess Zena’s (we call her PZ) creative story telling and clever writing make her posts most enjoyable.  We love watching PZ heal after losing Zach and integrate Raffles into her pack.

mischief master classSnoopy’s Dog Blog – What can we say about a published author, who donates half his proceeds to Therapy Dog organizations, whose chosen field of expertise is mischief?  We can say he’s our friend.

A Tonk’s Tail – We so enjoy the three distinct voices of FaRaDaY, Maxwell and Allie along with their great info and humor.

Long Life Cats and Dogs – Well the tales and posts emanating (VBP – Vocab Builder Project) from S. Africa delight our appetite for intrigue, raising springboks, art, global animal rescue, and all things creative.

follow-up-fridayHeart Like a Dog – Not only did Miss Jodi create Follow Up Friday, she, Sampson and Delilah took on a calendar project, The Dogs of Blogville, to benefit two fellow bloggers who suffered greatly from Hurricane Sandy.

tasty tuesdaysSugar and Kol for creating Tasty Tuesday, one of our favorite posts of the week; they provided a delicious outlet for our QC (quality control) responsibilities as Mom’s Kitchen K9s.  Sugar shares gorgeous photos with tour guide worthy posts, insight into See Beautiful, and an unending sweet disposition.  We so enjoy Kol’s writing style and Miss Jodi sure knows her way around a kitchen for K9s!

Please do not feel left out; we could have gone on for days you all are so talented …

2 Write a blog post and tell us about the blog(s) you have chosen – there’s no minimum or maximum number of blogs required – and ‘present’ them with their award.  Check!

3 Please include a link back to this page and include these ‘rules’ in your post (please don’t alter the rules or the badges!)

4 Let the blog(s) you have chosen know that you have given them this award and share the ‘rules’ with them.  Will do.

Lastly, Mom wanted to thank Mr. Andy and Miss Judy for sending a picture of Austin enjoying his Hannukah prezzies from Mom!

Another great award day.

P.S. – Please forgive Mom, she’s kind of doing the minimum of transcribing comments and visits, she’s still “under the weather.”

Tasty Tuesday: Latkes for K9s or Lassie Latkes*

Hey It’s Jet Here.

tasty tuesdaysHave you enjoyed the Channukah Crawl as much as we have?  Boy oh boy, every post is so informative, interesting and uplifting.  Bet you’re not surprised that we selected to post on Tasty Tuesday!  Have to keep the cred as Mom’s Kitchen K9s you know.  Visit Meandering Moodys for another super Hannukah post.  Head over to Pumpkinpuddy and Spike the Cat tomorrow for more Hannukah celebrations.

We’re sending you to our feline pals Ateret, Livia and Abbi who posted the historical background of Hannukah so beautifully, including the detailed version of why we make latkes or potato pancakes.  (Speed version: the oil was expected to last one night and lasted eight, so, culturally, potato pancakes and donuts are featured.)

4Health concerns have entered the picture over the years, so, now, you can find baked latke recipes in place of fried.  Foodies, chefs and creative cooks have put their spin on ingredients, so, now, you can find: sweet potato latkes, parsnip latkes, spaghetti squash latkes, celery root latkes, beet and carrot latkes, zucchini latkes and Lassie Latkes*! (click here to see the varieties offered at this year’s Latke Festival.)

15Since traditional potato latkes contain onions, Mom knew she would make onion free sweet potato latkes.  Knowing that we enjoy parsnips, too, she thought she would search for a combo recipe.  When she found one that also included a chunky applesauce component, she printed and headed for the grocery store! (fever and all… gotta love Mom!)  Mom will share the recipe below, post photos on her Kitchen Counselor Facebook tomorrow with step-by-step pics and show you the experience from our eyes below.

Sweet Potato and Parsnip Latkes with Chunky 5-Spice Applesauce

For the Chunky 5-spice Applesauce:

  • 6 MacIntosh or Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and cut into 1-inch chunks (Mom used Fujis! See us testing below!)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1/2 teaspoon Chinese 5-spice powder (Mom loved including this!)
  • 1 tablespoon sugar

For the Latkes:

  • 1 pound sweet potatoes, peeled
  • 1/2 pound parsnips, peeled
  • Salt
  • 1/4 cup flour (Mom used whole wheat pastry flour, because she couldn’t find the spelt!)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil

To finish:

Directions

For the applesauce: In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine the apples, lemon juice, apple cider, lemon zest, 5-spice powder and sugar and stir to mix well. Cook for 10 to 15 minutes until apples begin to break down, but are still chunky. Remove from heat and cool.

6For the latkes: On a box grater, grate the sweet potatoes and the parsnips. Combine potatoes and parsnip in a large bowl. Season with salt and toss to combine. Add flour and stir to distribute evenly. Add eggs and stir well. In a large saute pan over medium heat, heat 2 tablespoons of the oil (Mom used about 1/4 inch in her cast iron pan). Form the potato mixture into 3-inch latkes that are about 1/2-inch thick. Add to oil and fry until golden brown on both sides and cooked through, about 4 minutes per side. Remove to a paper-towel lined plate and season with salt. Repeat this procedure with all of the potato/parsnip mixture, adding more oil as necessary.

Serve with applesauce, sour cream and green onions.

As my BFF, Savannah, says… click on my pics to bigify!

Among and within Jewish families, there can be a customs debate… do you eat applesauce or sour cream with your latkes?  Mom’s family was STRICTLY an applesauce family, although after asking her Aunt and my  Nana, they could not tell her why.  Mom’s heritage is predominantly (VBP) Lithuanian, although she’s not sure that contributes any insight.  After some research, Mom came up with two thoughts:

  • The history may be one of whether a family following Kosher Dietary rules wanted a dairy meal (sour cream) or a meat meal (applesauce).
  • Does the family prefer savory (sour cream) or sweet (applesauce)?

We agree and echo all the wishes written by our pals so far and wish to add that Little Miss Festival of Lights, Mom and I hope that all creatures have enough safe food and water to keep them healthy.

Another great sweet potato parsnip with chunky applesauce day!

Borrowed Mischief

Hey It’s Jet Here.

We’re participating in the Channukah Crawl this year, whoo hoo!  Visit our good feline friends, FaRaDaY, Maxwell and Allie from A Tonk’s Tail.  Tomorrow, we’re up (Tasty Tuesday of course!) along with Meandering Moodys (@danapixie) for more cool Hannukah (I know, I spell it differently!) info.

Since Little Miss Festival of Lights and I decided to exhibit Hannukah worthy behavior, Mom searched high and low for a contribution.

Well, last Friday, Mom’s biscuit earning place colleague and blog mentor, Miss Jennifer, coincidentally showed Mom the following photo of Sonoma:
