Miss Beverly generously lent Mom a book about a month or so ago. Because of Mom’s schedule, she’s read the book in bits and pieces, currently having about 30 pages to go. Little Miss Women’s Book Club decided to read along with Mom as well.
Often, when Mom reads before bed, she marks her page, closes the book and lays it down beside her pillow. Sometimes her books receive the same treatment as eggs kept warm by chickens. Yes, Little Miss Book Club and I inadvertently (VBP) will lay on Mom’s books, so she forgets to place them on her side table the next day.
At some point, Little Miss Weekly Reader decided to catch up on her chapters. When Mom next finds time to read, she discovers the following:
I, Jetty, cultured gentleman of letters, will demonstrate the proper form for reading!
Now what will Mom tell Miss Beverly?
