Follow Up Friday – Koko Style

Hey It’s Jet Here.

Our friend, Miss Jodi, initiated this great idea to update readers on previous posts.  She created a lovely badge to go with her idea.

This week, we enjoyed sharing some memories of my golden sister, Koko, with you.  We can barely process that a year has passed since she crossed OTRB.  We began on Saturday by sharing how Koko came to live with Mom, Mr. Fred and my human sister, Rachel.  Mom realized that she’s goofed for years on the annual that Koko joined the family, 2004, not 2005!  Many of you enjoyed the Dog Fancy article.

Black and White Sunday – Mom’s Favorite

Mom shared her one of her favorite Koko photos which captured her essence.

Mischief Monday – Baking Class

Oh we got you laughing with this one.  You agreed that the lack of a photo was a total bummer!  As Mom reached into her memory files, she realized that fodder (VBP – vocab builder project) for several more Koko stories remain… stay tuned!

Tasty Tuesday – She Loved Red Peppers

Many of our anipals wrote in stating they did not know K9s could eat sweet red peppers and would now try it with their K9s.  Please let us know the results… JJ and I can’t wait to chomp on a few tidbits ourselves!

Wordless Wednesday – A Playdate with Nancy

Mom thinks our great white shark photo camouflages our marshmallow natures.  If you saw only that one photo of Koko and I, you would think we needed red zone collars, flashing danger lights or yellow warning signs.  As my special friend, Miss Wendy says, our “bitey faces” belie our marshmallow nature, we never chomp, we only “jaw” play with our buddies or family!  Oh, and lots of the ladies wrote in about my white poofy chest! (Dudes, who knew this would be such a chick magnet???)

Thursday – A Special Interview

Savannah, our BFF, (best feline friend), conducted a meaningful interview sharing my rescue story.  Her project, Real Rescue Dogs are Talking  elevates exposure for adopting older K9s and felines.  Savvy adroitly (VBP) teases out issues during the recovery process.  Thanks Savvy! (and Miss Linda!)

Another great memory filled day.

  1. Thanks for participating in FUF Jetty, we passed on it today due to the Human Shaming blog hop. BTW, I’m so glad that you did this because I missed the interview on Miss Savannah’s blog and I just went over and read it. I’m so happy you and Miss Lori found each other. I really enjoyed your story, you are a lucky guy. 🙂

    • Hey Sampson, Hey Delilah, Jetty here. Hi Miss Jodi.

We love FUF! We thought about the HS hop, but, Mom couldn’t get her wit together in time!

Thanks for reading our story, Mom says she’s the lucky one… then we agree we’re equally lucky. 🙂

  2. Hi sweet Jetty – kinda sad to see this week end as I really loved reading and seeing pictures of your beloved Koko. I bet it helped Mom’s heart to heal a little to tell us a bit about her and relive the joy and silliness that Koko possessed – thank you for sharing her with us – she truly was very special!

I also loved the article and interview by on Miss Savvannah’s blog – very well written!

Did you have boomer and streaky light about 3-4:00 last night! YUP we did! if you did I hope you and Mom were able to catch a little snooze! I;m kinda pooped as my dear Cassie wouldn’t settle!

Gotta go get Jacob from school – Love you Jetty xoxoxox

    • Hey It’s Jet here. Hi Miss Wendy.

Yes, I’m glad we shared tales about our beloved, Koko, keeps her memory strong in our hearts.

We’re deeply grateful to my BFF (best feline friend), Savannah, for her journalistic prowess evidenced in her REAL Dogs/REAL CATs series. We hope our story inspires more humans to adopt older K9s/felines.

Oh Miss Wendy, we had the storm all evening, however by about midnight/1:00 a.m. it subsided. Please get some extra rest and give Cassie extra lovies from Casa Jetty!

Sending weekend Jetty kisses and JJ hugs to you, Mr. David, Jacob, Cassie, Rex and Barkley xoxoxox
