Our First Black and White Sunday

Hey It’s Jet Here.

For those of you who read some of our comments, you will know that Miss Wendy, our friend from Golden Rescue South Florida, writes the kindest, most frequent notes to Casa Jet.  One of her K9s, Barkley, a fellow rescued manly man, is about 14 years old now.

Miss Wendy mentioned recently that Barkley has slowed down a lot and seems a bit uncomfortable with arthritis.  She takes fantabulous care of him.  We wanted to share some Jetty kisses and JJ hugs with our virtual pal.  We’re thinking about you Barkley.  xoxoxoxo

Another great, love ya man, day.

Thanks to My Life in Blog Years and Dachshund Nola for hosting the Black and White Sunday blog hop.

  1. Oh that is too bad about Barkley. We have a doggie here, Jasmine that has the same problem. It is so hard when they get older. Best wishes to Barkley.

    • Hey it’s Jet here. Hi Miss Marg.

I think Barkley enjoys his life with Miss Wendy and his forever family so much, compared to where he started that he’s aging as gracefully as possible. Still, you are so right, aging is difficult to watch.

Sending Jasmine Jetty kisses and JJ hugs! xoxoxoxo

  2. Hi sweet jetty – OH MY goodness – you made me cry with this loving and kind post! Thank you so much for featuring my beloved Barkley in your blog – really means alot to me! I whispered in Barkleys ear that you and JJ are thinking of him – he appreciated the kind words from 2 wonderful rescued friends

Love the black and white effect very cool! I;m off to Fresh market to sample natural soda sweetened with agave nectar –

Again thank you so much – love you Jetty and family xoxoxoxo

    • Hey it’s Jet here. Hi Miss Wendy.

Oh, Miss Wendy, you and Barkley deserve nothing less. Keep checking back because lots of anipals and their humans are sending lots of lovies.

We thought Barkley would be the perfect subject for our first b & w post. 🙂

Ooohh, Mom would like to know which natural soda? She likes Zevia!

Most welcome Miss Wendy, just keeping all the lovies you send to us circling back to you and yours. 🙂

Sending Jetty kisses and JJ hugs to you, Mr. David (hope he is back to 100%), Jacob, Cassie, Rex and Barkley xoxoxoxo

    • Hey Litchi, Hey Boks, Jet here. Hi Miss Susan.

Thank you. Yes, tricky stuff, that arthritis… Oh we will Miss Susan, Miss Wendy always reads the comments and I know all the lovies everyone is sending will go straight to her heart and Barkley’s. 🙂

  3. Awww!!! How sweet! I used to care for a dog named Barkley who was also a Golden Retriever, only she was a she. I loved her. I was mainly giving hospice care, but it was such an honor to care for her. I hope Miss Wendy’s Barkley has a few more years with her. Such a sweet B & W post.

    • Hey it’s Jet here. Hi Miss Mel.

What a special person you are Miss Mel. Your cherished care of your Barkley no doubt made her crossing OTRB peaceful.

      We do too…

Thank you for the compliment, I’m blushing a little…

  4. Hey Jets, Jack here.Tell Ms. Wendy that Mom has had great results with DGP an herbal supplement she orders over the internet. Ginger is not as stiff in the morning and she actually plays with me since she has been taking it. I have been in bed the last three days nursing Mom, she twisted her neck and has something called vertigo. (Don’t tell anyone but she walks like she has been drinking and bumps into walls). It would be funny but I know she is not well so Ginger and I don’t laugh.

    • Hey Jack, Hey Ginger, Jet here.

OH NO… Miss Rebecca, that’s terrible. I could send Jetty kisses and JJ hugs, however, you probably would benefit more from a massage… and… uh… I really don’t know how to do that. 😦 sorry…

Mom’s had vertigo about 5 times… it’s yucky, please take care and be super careful. For Mom it turned out to be a middle ear infection (which they can’t see, hard to tell) and she took these homeopathic thingies called Nux vomica 30x and it went away in about a week after 4 months of suffering… she called it seasick on land…

She’s had that about 4 separate spring times over the years…

Dude, have mercy on Miss Rebecca, save up the guffaws (VBP) for when she’s well. 🙂
