    • Hey Dakota, Jet here. Hi Miss Caren.

Yup, what else can you do? We visited some neighbors in the middle of the street, texted others, Mom went to visit Austin twice, once for dinner routine and exercise and once for turn down service! (last potty and lovies!)

    • Hey Mollie, Hey Alfie, Jet here.

Thanks guys. Because we live in Hurricane land, we usually have flashlights and candles close at hand. Mom and Rachel tried out the new flashlights, since Mom found out our old ones didn’t work last week! We do not have a piano. 😦 Mom went through old magazines pulling out items she wanted to keep for her Kitchen Counselor business and Rachel read a book that arrived yesterday. JJ and I stayed close by. You would not believe how scary a repetitive beeping can be. The noise came from the AT & T stuff and Mom was too scared to turn it off or touch any buttons!

  2. Sounds like you ended up making the most of it. Pretty tough on these hot summer days but visiting with neighbors and taking a well-earned break from cyberspace is not an entirely bad thing. πŸ™‚

    • Hey Bella, Jet here. Hi Miss Leslie.

We try, nothing else you can do really. In the tropics, it is not uncommon to get to know your neighbors or know them much better during Hurricane Season.

True, a cyber break is enjoyable, however, the catching up is a BUMMER…

  3. You’re not alone! We heard today was the biggest power outage ever on the news today. I’m glad it wasn’t our power that went out, because it was hot, hot, hot here today!

    • Hey Bunny, Jet here.

Yup, our human sister, Rachel, spent a month in India last summer volunteering. One of the states that suffered the outages is where she was one year ago!

Bunny, can you imagine 95+/100% humidity and no a/c? Yup, that’s what it’s like with no power here in the tropics. 😦

    • Hey Sampson, Hey Delilah, Jet here. Hi Miss Jodi.

It’s the pits, guys, really. Uh… FPL, our power company sends humans driving trucks that always answer, “I don’t know” when Mom and the neighbors ask that very question! Mom got some inside scoop a few years back. You see, our very snooty town government, tells the utilities that the wiring has to be “Pretty” (they probably would not admit this)… which the utility companies (power, phone) have said are not as effective. Goofy humans!
