Delayed Gracias! Part I

Hey It’s Jet Here.

As a result of Mom’s work schedule, our blog hopping schedules, and our computer issues, we have not said our proper Thank You (s) and followed protocol on our recent awards.

Before proceeding with proper etiquette (vocab builder), a quick note on awards, from our perspective.  When we began receiving awards and bestowing awards, we felt honored privileged and supported in the efforts we put forth.  We take awards as a way to stretch our awareness of other bloggers work in addition to feeling the commraderie and passing along the good.  How about you?  Do you feel that awards have gotten out of hand or do you feel they are a way of saying, “good job, we appreciate your efforts, pass on the kindness” like we do?

Ok, with that said… (off my Buddy Wash Soap Box. (Green Tea and Rosemary))

Thanks to our dear feline friend, Savvy, from Savannah’s Paw Tracks for bestowing the Very Inspired Blogger Award.  She calls me Big Guy (which I just LOVE) and shares her daily recovery since her family rescued her from the shelter where they thought she was unfriendly.  Boy if they could see her now!  She taught me paw pats and paw pumps, too!

Thanks to my blogging little sister, Poppy, from Fluffy Popcorn for sharing a 2nd Sunshine Award.  Guess what? Poppy sent us the award on the same day we sent it to her… BOL!  We will thank her more tomorrow.

We will forward The Very Inspiring Blogger Award today and The Sunshine Award tomorrow.  The Rules:

(1) Thank the person who nominated you and link back to them in your post.  Gracias, (we live in the tropics where humans speak a great deal of Spanish), to Savvy – tons of paw pats and paw pumps!

(2) Share 7 things about yourself…

  1. This week I reacted a little better during the storms, it was Little Miss Barkarooni who robo-barked.
  2. I’m super excited that mango season began in our back yard this week! I’m waiting for the first fruit to ripen.
  3. I can be a Momma’s boy sometimes.
  4. I can’t wait to go swimming. (Mom’s waiting for my skin boo boos to fully resolve.)
  5. I love my Scooby Doo Academy curriculum.
  6. Nothing beats a belly rub.
  7. I’m a great Heat fan, I’m always wearing their colors!

(3) Nominate 15 bloggers you admire (in no particular order).

  1. Fluffy Popcorn – Poppy and her Mommy have inspired us with their unending creativity.
  2. Basset Momma – Fred, Gloria and Miss Janet inspire us by reading and responding to what feels like limitless posts with good cheer.  They’re all really funny, too.
  3. BZ Training – Henry and Zachary’s human takes some of our favorite photos.
  4. Jodi Stone – Sampson and Delilah’s Mom inspires us by having the courage to be herself and walk the talk.
  5. GloGirly – Miss Katie inspires us with her amazing creativity, especially The Real Housecats of the Blogosphere videos.
  6. Snoopy’s Dog Blog – He and his Mom sponsor the Mischief Monday blog hop, won the Petco blog opportunity from the conference, is writing a book, does pet therapy…geesh, he sets a high standard for manly men like me.
  7. Kol’s Notes – He and Miss Jodi inspire us with their cool artwork, their K9 recipes and their newish Tasty Tuesday blog hop.
  8. Tales and Tails – Bunny and her sister, Morgan inspire us in two ways.  Bunny inspires us with her modeling talents.  Morgan is training to help humans stay safe.
  9. Puppy in Training – Mr. Colby puppy raises for Guide Dogs of America.  We so appreciate his good work with Apache and the pack.
  10. Roxy, The Traveling Dog – Miss Mary, Roxy and Torrey inspire us because Miss Mary is such a talented artist and the family participates in this cool historical stuff.
  11. All Things Dog Blog – Miss Carrie inspires us by educating Mom and I on training and lots of other info.
  12. Something Wagging This Way Comes – Honey and her Mom inspire us with beautiful, insightful writing.
  13. My Dogs Love Me – Haopee and her K9s inspire us with their creativity (they even make headers for other bloggers) and tech help for Mom.
  14. A Tonk’s Tail – Miss Allie and her husband volunteer at Missouri’s largest no-kill shelter.  She shares her home with Mr. Allie and two foster feline failures (that means she adopted them!)
  15. For the Love of My Dogs – Miss Deanna and her family inspire us for her tireless work at OUR animal shelter and her proactive efforts on issues like BSL.

Another great, inspiring, day.

Thanks to Life With DogsConfessions of the Plume and Two Little Cavaliers for hosting the Saturday Blog Hop.

  1. Yo Jet my Mr Big Guy!! I luvluvluv your commentary (yep, vocab builder)… about receiving and passing forward awards…IMHO…I luv recognition, yet I am torn because it takes my staff ( read Mom) so much time to do all the links and stuff…so I lose focus on my own story. I luv the concept, but fear it being about popularity rather than recognition. What do ya think my furriend??

  2. Thanks for the award, Jet! We are bad about forgetting to pass them on, but we always smile when we receive them!

    Bunny

P.S. Morgan is my personal bodyguard! Kuster (our pesky younger brother) is the one training to do Search and Rescue. 😉 Blueberry just spends her time looking good and hogging the couch!

    • Hey Bunny, Jet here.

Whoops! Thanks for the correction, Mom tried to make sure my dictation was accurate, however, it was quite late and we had worked on the post for about 1.5 hours and we couldn’t quite find the right post on your site and went from memory… Now, not to be too harsh on Mom, however, let’s just kindly say, her memory could use some strength training!

We will correct in Part 2 because you all are completely worth it and … Scooby Doo Academy stresses accuracy. 🙂

  3. Hey Big Bro Jet!! 😀 Mom and i feel the same way about receiving awards! 🙂 We feel very blessed to have a chance to join in all the fun sharing awards, reading furiends’ answers, and sharing our answers too :} It’s a swell feeling if you ask me Jet! 😀 Congratulations to you BIG GUY Jetty Spaghetti! =D YAY!!!! 4. Oh, Jet. Thank you so much for saying Honey and I inspire you. We’re so tickled to receive the Versatile Blogger award.

And you definitely deserve to be called “Big Guy.” What else would you nickname someone with the awesome name of “Jet?”

  5. Congrats on your well deserved awards. I think passing awards is great. When a fellow blogger thinks of your blog as worthy of an award, it really makes you feel special :-).
    Keep up the great work.

  6. Congrats on your award! Good to be noticed for your hard work.

Dropping by on the pet blogger hop today!
Sometimes when I work in dog rescue, which is almost every weekend, I come across a dog that needs a special home or a special family. Right now we’ve got Skylark, a six month old deaf puppy, to place. That’s why I really liked the family that has Lola the Pug. Enjoy their song about Lola, the Pug who Cannot Run at

    • Hey it’s Jet here. Hi Miss Cherie.

Thanks for your kind words, they mean a great deal.

Thank you for all you do to help… I’m a rescued guy myself you know, as are JJ, and my feline brothers. 🙂

When we visited, we actually read the Hotep post which cracked Mom up…

    • Hey Roxy, Hey Torrey, Jet here. Hi Miss Mary.

Oh gosh Miss Mary, art is such a gift, a special talent, especially the fine arts, which she feels are most undervalued in our current landscape.

My human great grandfather had artistic abilities. He painted water colors and sculpted. Mom enjoys needlepoint and knitting (not so much now, lack of time!)and considers cooking and her Kitchen Counselor endeavors a creative outlet.

You are welcome and most deserved. 🙂

  7. Congrats Jet!!! Woohoo for you and thank you for awarding us 🙂 We hope you have a great weekend…and we hope your Mom does too—starting with a big Heat win TONIGHT!!!!

    xoxox- The Crew 🙂

    • Hey Crew, Jet here. Hi Miss Deanna.

Most deserved Miss Deanna. Uh… Miss Deanna? Mom thought the HEAT game was tomorrow night, did she goof again??? I’ve already got my colors on and Mom’s ready with her red HEAT shirt from the old days… Enjoy tomorrow as well. 🙂

  8. Hi sweet Jetty – Congrats on your very well deserved awards! I like the idea of awards – I always think you can never say too many good things! I think the blog folks (like you and Mom ) spend alot of time and effort on these blogs coming up with fun and intersting things so I say the more awards the better!

I worked all day at Coscto sampling and selling beauty products – I;m all talked out! It is a three day campaign so one more day!

I hope you and JJ ( I was laughing about all her barking in the last post!) were ok with last nights huge storm! Cassie was ok, we had the tv on loud and David held her tight.

sending award winning goodnight hugs and kisses to you, JJ, Mom, Rachel, and Pluffy xoxoxo

    • Hey it’s Jet here. Hi Miss Wendy.

Thanks Miss Wendy, now you have both Mom and I blushing. 🙂 We do work hard and so appreciate all of our readers for their kind comments.

Yes, JJ managed fairly well, glad Cassie did, too. Truthfully, the storms were not so bad yesterday. 🙂

Sending acceptance speeches filled with Jetty kisses and JJ hugs to you, Mr. David, Jacob, Cassie, Rex and Barkley xoxoxoxoxoxoxo

Wishing you good rest and sweet dreams.

  9. Congratulations of your awards.
We think Awards are wonderful.- but we have a hard time passing them on to only a certain amount— we like everyone to have them
    love
    tweedles

  10. Hey Jet buddy,

Sorry I only just got around to seeing this, it’s been another one of those crazy busy weekends here – I so need a nap!!

Anyway, Big congrats buddy – you’re pawsome!! And thanks SO much for thinking of me – you’re SO sweet!!

I loved reading your 7 things, I so wish we had Mango’s in our back yard too – I keep looking but I don’t find anything edible – doh!!

    I hope you’re having a fun weekend,

    Your pal Snoopy 🙂

    • Hey Snoopy, Jetty here.

No worries at all, when you read our mischief post tomorrow, you’ll know why we have spent so much time in the office this weekend!

Maybe we can send you some mango ketchup when Mom puts up a batch. 🙂

All weekends are fun because Mom’s around more. Hope yours is great, too.

  11. Aw Jetty, you are just the kindest, sweetest boy (next to Sampson) 🙂 Congratulations on your award, you are very deserving of it and thank you for passing it along to us. We are quite honored. 🙂 I hope your mangos are ready and you’ve been enjoying them, up here we are enjoying some watermelon, we all love it in our house. 🙂

    • Hey Sampson, Hey Delilah, Jetty here. (I love when you call me Jetty!) Hi Miss Jodi.

Awww shucks, thanks… thank you and you are most deserving for sure.

Nope, another day or so on the rabbi’s mangos and we found the FIRST one from our tree (a different, (better) variety)this morning! whoo hoo!!! Mom cut watermelon up for our family yesterday… it was an ok selection, not very flavorful. 😦

  12. FaRAdaY: OH dats PAWESOME! concats on getting such a wonerful award!!

Allie: *giggle* (whispers: I don’t volunteer at Wayside – I came from there!) Mother and Dad adopted me and I’m now the Princess of the house!! But I must say, you COMPLETELY got the “Failure” part right about the boys!! (giggles behind pink paw)

    Maxwell: uhhhh…..

Allie: and of course, it’s only fitting that *I* get the award, since I’m oldest (HEE!)

FaRADaY: Oh she’s OLD all right. She’s so old, she—mmmfff! *Allie slaps paw over Faraday’s mouth*

    • Hey Faraday, Hey Maxwell, Hey Allie, Jet here. Usually this is where we address the human with Hi Mr./Miss…

Would you believe Mom wrote a really long response and JJ, Little Miss Helper on all things, helped so much, she hit a button and the screen changed and everything disappeared!

So, we’ll try to reconstruct. First, apologies for Mom’s error Allie, she worked so hard on the computer this weekend, I can only plead blurry eyes and tired soul on her behalf.

Faraday, you have quite the sense of humor… better watch out for that pink paw!

Allie, have you and my sister, JJ spoken about pink? JJ’s accessory color is hot pink and insists on nothing but… my accessories are royal (of course) blue!

Puffy and Fluffy used to be Princes of the house until I arrived and readjusted their perspectives… now they are princes of certain areas of the house! Do you preside over the boys? Are you benevolent? (vocab builder)…

Thank you kindly for your sweet concats… as our feline friend, Savvy, of Savannah’s Paw Tracks says, paw pats and paw pumps! 🙂

Oh, I remember, Mom also wrote that she really needed a laugh and reading your comment hit the spot perfectly. She asked me to tell you Thanks.
