My First Ever Haiku

Hey It’s Jet Here.

My friend, Rumpy, posted a poetry challenge last week.  JJ’s medical issues distracted me from concentrating on my poetic abilities.  In light of yesterday’s post,  Mom thought expressing myself in haiku might help my nerves.

  • Boomers, streaky lights,
  • Make me scratch walls and shiver.
  • Tell them to scram NOW!

Did I do ok?  Do you think my Language Arts teacher at Scooby Doo Academy would approve?

Another great, poetic day.

P.S.  Thanks to all of you who have asked how JJ is feeling.  We feel so fortunate to have such positive energy and caring coming our way. Mom’s taking her to Dr. Shaffer on Saturday morning for a check.  Mom has to remind JJ not to jump, wrestle, play and wag her tail so hard it should fall off. Between us, I think Little Miss “Who had serious surgery, me?” had the fastest recovery on the planet… thank heavens!

  1. Bro, Jack here. Don’t feel bad, the booms were so loud that even Ginger and I (it usually doesn’t bother us) had to jump up and bark and growl at them. One shook the whole house. Glad to hear that JJ is recovering quickly. Has Mom tried one of those thunder shirts for you. I bet you would look great in one. Someone told Mom that if your dog goes in the bathtub, (can’t be a plastic one) that the static electricity is cut and dogs will calm down. Maybe you should try it. Let me know if it works. Hi to all.

    • Hey Jack, Hey Ginger, Jet here. Hi Miss Rebecca.

Dude, sorry you and Ginger struggled, too. Oh yes, I have the first go round of the “then” new blue thundershirt… not much improvement I’m afraid. Mom appreciates the bathtub idea, she hasn’t tried that one.

Thanks for your kind wishes about JJ. We’ll post an update when Mom takes her to the vet tomorrow. 🙂

(well, really today since it’s after midnight…)

Really? You, master of the trails? Oh gosh, that makes me feel like I’m not the only K9… thanks dude. Sorry you struggle too, however, good to know I’m in such highly regarded company. 🙂

  3. Hi Y’all,

Stoppin’ to say “hi”! Thanks for stoppin’ to visit me!

My Human supports that bill. Did you know when she was young she worked with a Schutzhund trainer retraining police dogs and military dogs for civilian life. Prior to that the dogs were usually “put to sleep” when their service days were completed.

Hope y’all are havin’ a fun weekend!!

    Y’all come back now,
    Hawk aka BrownDog

    • Hey Hawk, Jet here.

Yeah for your human… give her a high paws from ‘ol Jetty boy for her/his? wonderful work retraining service dogs and saving them from a terrible fate.

Having a great weekend, hope you are too!
