Hey It’s Jet Here.
My friend, Rumpy, posted a poetry challenge last week. JJ’s medical issues distracted me from concentrating on my poetic abilities. In light of yesterday’s post, Mom thought expressing myself in haiku might help my nerves.
Did I do ok? Do you think my Language Arts teacher at Scooby Doo Academy would approve?
Another great, poetic day.
P.S. Thanks to all of you who have asked how JJ is feeling. We feel so fortunate to have such positive energy and caring coming our way. Mom’s taking her to Dr. Shaffer on Saturday morning for a check. Mom has to remind JJ not to jump, wrestle, play and wag her tail so hard it should fall off. Between us, I think Little Miss “Who had serious surgery, me?” had the fastest recovery on the planet… thank heavens!
I hate that you have to write about how scared you are. 😦
Hey Sampson, Hey Delilah, Jet here. Hi Miss Jodi.
Me, too… however, Mom said writing helps get it out sometimes… let’s cross our paws/fingers. 🙂
I accepted Rumpy’s challenge with the Haiku…not sure I quite got it…but I tried…you look better than me, Haiku wise anyways…MOL
Hi Savannah, Jet here.
It’s about the effort, Savannah, not the results… I’m going to check yours out with Mom in a minute… We’ll be gentle, fair critics. BOL…
MOL. Mom had to do Google search even to write one! Did not know what it meant?! Think we missed the last 3rd line with 5 , we had more or les?? What a trip!!
Hey Savannah, Jet here.
We researched, too! That makes you and Mom SMART! Keep practicing… 🙂
let me know if you can’t find it on Rumpy’s page
Hey Savannah, Jet here.
Can you send us the link where your haiku is?
let me see if I can find it…wait a minute…http://rumpydog.com/2012/05/11/its-another-poetry-challenge/ I am about 18 comments down…let me know if you find my haiku
Hey Savannah, Jet here.
The haiku was marvelous! Loved it! You have talent my feline friend. I believe Scooby Doo Academy has feline classes in language arts, perhaps you should ask Mom to check for you.
oh wow! but do I have to go to class with the dogs??? If so, then that is soooo not going to happen! MOL
Hey Savannah, Jet here.
I believe they have a separate feline campus!!! Good question.
runs to Mom ….mom mom mom…I need some money quik…I can go to class to write better Haiku!!! digs in her purse looking for credit card…purrrpurrrpurrr
Hi Savannah, Jet here.
You are so cute!!! Tell Mom to ask for a student loan, quick before they raise the interest rates!!!
MMTO!!! totally good one that! And Mom says to tell you…”we never had children, we decided our cats adn dogs were our kids..no college tuition”!!! Now Savannah wants to go to class…who knew!!
Hey Savannah, Jet here. Hi Mom.
I think you have a smarty cat on your hands! Imagine how classes will expand her horizons, Savannah’s Mom!
Bro, Jack here. Don’t feel bad, the booms were so loud that even Ginger and I (it usually doesn’t bother us) had to jump up and bark and growl at them. One shook the whole house. Glad to hear that JJ is recovering quickly. Has Mom tried one of those thunder shirts for you. I bet you would look great in one. Someone told Mom that if your dog goes in the bathtub, (can’t be a plastic one) that the static electricity is cut and dogs will calm down. Maybe you should try it. Let me know if it works. Hi to all.
Hey Jack, Hey Ginger, Jet here. Hi Miss Rebecca.
Dude, sorry you and Ginger struggled, too. Oh yes, I have the first go round of the “then” new blue thundershirt… not much improvement I’m afraid. Mom appreciates the bathtub idea, she hasn’t tried that one.
Thanks for your kind wishes about JJ. We’ll post an update when Mom takes her to the vet tomorrow. 🙂
(well, really today since it’s after midnight…)
Hi sweet Jetty – I really enjoyed your Haiku – you are so handsome, smart, funny, kind hearted and now your a POET too! WOW what a guy!

I happen to think your haiku is fantastic!
Hey Rumpy, Jet here.
Thanks Dude, from you, that is quite a compliment. 🙂
Hey Jet, I can really relate to your haiku. I’m not looking forward to our thunder season. It starts in July here.
Hey Bongo, Jet here.
Really? You, master of the trails? Oh gosh, that makes me feel like I’m not the only K9… thanks dude. Sorry you struggle too, however, good to know I’m in such highly regarded company. 🙂
Hi Y’all,
Stoppin’ to say “hi”! Thanks for stoppin’ to visit me!
My Human supports that bill. Did you know when she was young she worked with a Schutzhund trainer retraining police dogs and military dogs for civilian life. Prior to that the dogs were usually “put to sleep” when their service days were completed.
Hope y’all are havin’ a fun weekend!!
Y’all come back now,
Hawk aka BrownDog
Hey Hawk, Jet here.
Yeah for your human… give her a high paws from ‘ol Jetty boy for her/his? wonderful work retraining service dogs and saving them from a terrible fate.
Having a great weekend, hope you are too!
