Mischief Monday – Mr. Ackerman’s Pants

Hey It’s Jet Here.

Last Thursday, one Mr. R. Ackerman, visited Mom at the house.  He came to offer Mom this stuff called health insurance.  Way before they met, Mom asked his helper several times over the phone, “Are dogs and cats ok?”  Mom’s a polite person if I do say so myself.  Repeatedly, said helper responded, “Yes.”

Mr. A entered the house with dressy pants and a proper thing called a business shirt.  He and Mom spoke about stuff I had no interest in.  What did interest JJ and I; making friends with said new person.  JJ did her “how do you do” paw thing multiple times along with her happy wag. I sat like the gentleman I am.  I alternated sitting with standing and generously wagging my fluffy tail to let him know man-to-man I welcomed him into our home.  He responded a little cautiously, a little uncomfortably, like we should know our places.  We do, it’s our house!  We all noticed he kept checking his fancy pants.

On the way out, Mom offered him a lint roller if he felt he needed one.  He declined and said the next time, he would wear jeans!  Really? We did not share our fur with him at all.  I’ll show you fur mischief a la Puffy.

Puffy, making a little mischief in front of Mom’s monitor.  I wanted to make sure you saw his fur.

Office chair after a visit from the Puffster…

Revenge on suitcase when he got stuck in the closet by mistake…

Another great and furry day.

    • Hey Vanilla Bean, Jet here. Good for you! We were tempted to do the same and I’m sure we left a few reminders. Mr. Fancypants seemed quite concerned about his fashion, and since Mom needed that health insurance stuff, we let it go… this time!!! Have a great day.

    • Hey it’s Jet here. Hi Miss Janet. Between you and me, that’s what we all thought too! Mom showed just the white example! I leave dark tumbleweeds on the beige tile and on Mom’s light colored pants. JJ leaves a little golden specimens on her dark colored pants and Fluffy leaves a mixture of white and grey/black to round out the experience!

  1. That Pufffster is one scary kitteh! Wow… so much… floofiness!

I agree. Mr. A should relax a little… I bet he doesn’t have pets where he lives… You should’ve told him “Pets are good. They’re great medicine to the soul”.

    Huggies and Cheese,

    Haopee

    • Hey Haopee, Jet here. Indeed, Mom petted the Puffster this afternoon and left a pile of fluff on the floor!

We thought the same about Mr. Fancy Pants. We are the best, we are the best medicine for the soul.

We are sympatico Haopee, we should chat more often!

      huggies and all things greasy!

  2. We just saw your blog from a recent blog hop and thought we’d drop by and woof at you. We like making new furiends and would like to visit you from time to time. Drop by any time. BTW What’s wrong with pet hair anyway?? Some peoples are just missing the best things in life – us…..

    • Hey Ernie, Hey Sasha, Hey Chica, Hey Lucas, Hey Rosie, Jet here.

Thanks for dropping in, pleased to meet your acquaintance. You’re always welcome.

Nothing is wrong with pet hair. In fact, I may just go write about the virtues of pet hair tomorrow!

      Have a great day!

  3. Ooo, the one thing you can’t deny – pet hair! It gives you away all the time, you can’t pretend NOT to have sat in Mom’s favorite chair, even with your best innocent look. 🙂

  4. Mr. Fancy Pants is sould like a big ‘ol Fussy Pants!! Good thing he didn’t come here, his pants would have been covered with tons of Higgins fur before he left….and we don’t offer lint rollers!! HA!

  5. Hi Jetty – well phoeey on Mr. Fancypants! like the others said he is doesn’t know the joy of sharing your life with the magical creatures that are dogs and cats. his lose! you sure we’re such a good boy to sit politely – Cassie would have been all up in his business!! As I’ve written before dog fur in my house – no problemo – I swiffer/vaccuum every day – a small price to pay to have all my furbabies!

Love the pic of the Pufster – he sure is good lookin!~~~

sending goodnight hugs and kisses to you, JJ, Mom, Rachel, the Pufster and Fluffy!

    • Hey it’s Jet here. Hi Miss Wendy. I knew you would totally understand and support us. I try to be polite Miss Wendy, not always possible, but I do try.

If you say so, I’ll accept your admiration of Puffy. With all the activity in our house the last 3 days (more on that soon,) Puffy has made repeated appearances on Mom’s bed. JJ and I have spent a good deal of time in the kitchen, so, he felt safe to hang out in public. He’s kept a low profile since you know who arrived.

Good Morning Jetty kisses to you, Mr. David, Jacob, Cassie, Rex and Barkley.

    • Hey it’s Jet here. I KNEW I liked you guys! Exactly! Last night, my human sister, Rachel, had an impromptu dinner party for 4 friends. Imagine 5 teenagers in the kitchen (Mom guided them, being The Kitchen Counselor and all)! Heaven for JJ and I, except they made an oversight and forgot to invite us to the table. 😦

  6. First, we have to apologize. Your last couple of comments got all caught in our nasty spam catcher, but we freed them up tonight and you should be able to comment without problem going forward. Sorry about that.

This Sunday, our humans stopped for some lunch and came out to discover three uniformed police officers standing around the Jeep and admiring us. No, we were not in trouble or anything, they just thought we were cool. So the hu-dad talked to them while they petted us, but when they turned to walk away, their nice clean blue uniforms were now all Siberian hair covered.

    Oops.

    • Hey, Thundering Herd, Jet here. No apologies necessary, we appreciate the rescue from the nasty spam catcher and look forward to commenting more in the future. 🙂

That’s a great story… let’s say you guys accessorized the nice officers’ wardrobe!

  7. We get stuck in similar situations like this with hair and drool!
It’s ok though, if people are going to come into our house they should they are going to
have encounter these things, if not they can stay outside!

    • Hey it’s Jet here. Hi Miss Jodi. My recommendation… do not waste your lovely energy on those silly folks who ignore us K9s. Their loss… Sending Jetty kisses to make you feel better! 🙂

  8. Nothin’ is wrong with a little bit of pet hair! Heck, it’s the best kind of hair! And I agree, Mr. Fancypants needs to loosen up 🙂

    Have a great day!
