Hey It’s Jet Here.
This past week, one of my new blogging buddies, Bongo, wrote a post about an Indian Paint Brush Tree. Ok, we just tried to find the comment about the Indian Paint Brush Tree on Bongo’s blog and now we can’t. Maybe it was our friend Rumpy??? Well anyway… we mentioned in our response that we have Shaving Brush Trees here in South Florida; one is hot pink and one is white. Mom thought the tree died the first time she saw the leaves on the ground and the branches bare. Now that she’s seen twenty life cycles of the tree, she knows that soon after the leaves fall, the shaving brushes appear!
Today, we passed the pink one in the neighborhood on the way back from walking around this thing called a golf course with Miss Marcia. You know how JJ and I love to ride in the car with the windows down, especially at 7:15 a.m.! Mom pulled over and hoped for the best because she dropped her phone at the end of our walk and this button thingie wasn’t working correctly.
Mom took one shaving brush home since today was Spa Day. Rachel and our BFF, Ruby, helped me “shave” like the manly man I am…
And help JJ “shave” her legs!
Another great shaving day.

Hi sweet Jetty I;ve never heard of that type of bush – very interesting! Looks like you had a fun spa day and the weather was so beautiful too! Looks like Ruby and Rachel were taking extra special care of you and JJ! I wish I was on that floor with them – loving you and JJ up!
sending goodnight hugs and kisses to you, you manly man! and sweet JJ, Mom, Rachel, Puffy and Fluffy xoxoxo
Hey it’s Jet here. Hi Miss Wendy. Oh, gosh, I would enjoy having you visit me, too!
Miss Wendy, stay tuned for tomorrow’s post to learn about today’s spa day… Mom was NOT AMUSED…
kisses from your manly man K9 friend, Jetty… and hugs from JJ of course. Please share with Mr. David, Jacob, Cassie, Rex and Barkley.
I don’t think it was my comment. But what a cool tree!
Hey Rumpy, Jet here. I didn’t either, thought I would put it out there.
Had a great time walking together and meeting the pups!
Hey it’s Jet here. Hi Miss Marcia. You did a great job guiding JJ around the golf course. We appreciate the invitation and look forward to visiting again. I’ll try not to stop and empty my tank so much next time… except… that’s kind of how I roll! Sending Jetty kisses and JJ hugs.
I’ve never seen a shaving brush tree, I’ll have to ask the next time I’m in Florida. What do they do?
Hey it’s Jet here. Hi Miss Jodi. I’m not sure if they do anything special. They look really cool when they have their brushes out!
Wow, those look so pretty. We don’t have cool bushes like that here.
Hey Roxy, Hey Torrey, Jet here. Hi Miss Mary. Mom said she never saw anything like it when she lived up north or in the midwest… must be a special tree in the tropics! We like them too!

Hey Snoopy, Jet here. When they start doing my nails, worry! For now, I’m just keeping up my place as Mr. Handsome in the neighborhood!
Hey Jet, that Shaving Brush tree sounds cool. I’ve never heard of one of those before. Here’s the link to the Indian Paintbrush. http://bongodogblog.com/2012/03/10/indian-paintbrush/
Hey Bongo, Jet here. A big thank you from Mom; she’s relieved she didn’t imagine the post! We edited our post with your link, thank you.
We never did before living in Miami, either!
